by Margo Harvey
I have spent enough years in the shower
meticulous in my self-surgery
palms less prayer than keratin crescent graveyard
fear in every mirror’s steel-flecked reflection
this time i blink
& my pinky turns bluebellmarigoldlavenderhyacinth
my love watches me
moonshined fingertips
arms morning-glory heavy
dizzy center of each bloom
we grieve together
we dream of homes together
i swallow splintered apologies still clawing
at the base of my throat
